Roots and Wings

The Roots and Wings series of paintings describes steppingstones in the immigration process. In the works she explores themes of homesickness, living in two worlds, the challenge of a new language, the experience of being uprooted and adapting to the different unspoken cultural rules. As an immigrant herself the artist has experienced both the joys and challenges of a transition to a new culture and country.
